La Gallinara Pink Pesto is an aromatic, colourful and delicate pesto made with basil, almonds and a hint of pink pepper. It’s a typical Genovese Pesto with the addition of tomato sauce that gives it a pink colour.
History tells us that this pesto is the result of the blend of a typical Sicilian sauce and Genovese pesto, that was created by sailors, travelling between Trapani and Genoa.
