Franchi Seeds of Italy Tomato San Marzano of Naples

Franchi San Marzano Tomato is an authentic Italian plum tomato variety celebrated for its rich flavour, low acidity and exceptional cooking qualities. Grown from carefully selected seeds by Franchi Sementi, Italy’s renowned seed house established in 1783, this traditional heirloom tomato produces elongated, vibrant red fruits with firm flesh, minimal seeds and naturally sweet taste.

Known throughout Italy as one of the finest tomatoes for sauces and preserving, San Marzano 2 is especially prized for its dense texture and balanced flavour profile. The fruits develop thick walls and deep tomato intensity, making them ideal for slow-cooked pasta sauces, passata, pizza toppings and traditional Mediterranean recipes. Their naturally low moisture content also makes them excellent for roasting and bottling.
