Jacques Gonidec and his parents in Concarneau, Bretagne, founded the Conserverie Gonidec in 1959. For a line of top-quality sardines and fish, he took the name of his favourite football team "Les Mouettes d'Arvor" (Arvor's seagulls). Now, under the leadership of the third generation, the company has expanded and revamped its manufacturing facilities to meet European standards while retaining its artisanship.
