This is a traditional Spanish “compango” pack by Naveda, a classic combination of cured meats used to flavour hearty Asturian dishes, especially fabada (Asturian bean stew).
It typically includes smoked chorizo, morcilla (blood sausage), and cured pork belly (pancetta). These ingredients are slow-cooked together with beans to create a rich, smoky, deeply savoury broth. The smoking process, common in Asturias, gives the meats a distinctive depth and rustic character.
Compango is not usually eaten on its own but used as a flavour base, making it an essential ingredient for authentic Spanish comfort cooking.
